| With its foundation as a Catholic mission school,
Seishin aims to provide education for everyone. With students entering
our school from their first year of junior high, we offer a consistent
and well-rounded education over six years until they graduate from high
school. We always give careful consideration and respect to the abilities
and aptitudes of each of our students in order to offer them the best
possible counseling with regards to their future endeavors. Of the approximately
ninety-five per cent of our students who express the desire to go on to
further education, there is a great variety in the style of university
entrance procedures (entrance exams, interviews, essays, etc.) in the
institutions our students wish to enter. This has made us reorganize our
curriculum to better suit the various needs our students have. |

At our school, of course the third year high school students are
given plenty of direct counseling but we are also putting efforts
into giving suitable counseling for our first and second year high
school students. For each grade level, there is a counseling study
program, for either each homeroom class or for the grade as a whole,
at least once in each of the three terms. During these sessions,
students listen to a lecture or they hear the results of the most
current research on furthering education in the country. These counseling
study sessions exert a great influence on what path our students
will choose for their future. |
