Two of my students went to the Notre Dame Seishin University Speech Contest.
One of my students could receive First Prize. My other student could not get a prize there, but she did a really, really great job and I was really proud of her.

Here are some pictures from my high school first grade NELP class.
Here are my D class students playing a game.
Here they are practicing giving instructions. Their assignment was to create a procedure for lacing up shoes.
Here are the students during a speaking activity. The students wrote random words on pieces of paper, and then they had to randomly choose a paper. The student had 90 seconds to think about their new TOPIC and then had to give a 90 second talk about the topic, while the next speaker brainstormed for their talk.
Here are the students talking about their topics for the speech they have to write this term.

Here are the latest photos of the junior high school third grade NELP class.
First, here are some pictures from a class small-group debate we did about whether or not we should abandon paper products and have a paper-less society.
Here they are having a discussion about our latest reading. We read a true story about a good samaritan train conductor who, seeing a man on a train who was having a bad day, took time to help him make it home in time to see his dying mother.
Here are some students relaxing before class and looking at books.
And here are some students working on their special project. Our special project this term and next term is to create a public service announcement. This year, our announcement is about being kind to others.

Here are the latest photos from the Junior High School First Grade NELP class.
Here they are working on their final reports. Because we studied past tense this term, they have to write history reports. They're writing about really interesting and diverse topics.
Here they are taking a reading comprehension quiz for a story we read about a lion named Christian who was raised in London by two young Australians.

Right now, The English Club meets four days a week.
On Mondays, the English Club meets Mr. Kodera (and sometimes Crystal). I think they often watch and talk about movies.
On Tuesdays, the English Club meets with me for high level discussion and debate.
On Wednesdays, our regular English Club meets with me for listening, grammar and speaking.
On Thursdays, the regular English Club meets Crystal for conversation.
Here are a couple of photos of my Tuesday English Club.
